About
About Circus Asia
A full-cycle touring circus company: our own programmes, an international troupe and a route through four countries of Central Asia.
Company information
What is Circus Asia
Circus Asia is a touring project of Popov & Co LLP. We create our own circus productions, assemble an international troupe, bring lighting, sound and set design to the venue and arrange blocks of performances with circuses, culture palaces and arenas.
We are not a one-night promoter. A programme comes to a city for several weeks: that gives audiences a choice of dates and the venue a predictable schedule.
What we are here for
To keep big circus available in the cities of Central Asia — not as a rare event but as something a family can calmly plan for. That is why both our productions are made for family audiences rather than for children only or adults only.
How touring work is organised
A touring block is more than the show itself. Behind every city there is a venue and technical rider to agree, logistics for the troupe and props across borders, safety rigging for the aerial acts, veterinary paperwork for the animals and work with official ticketing services. Circus Asia takes on all of that.
The principles we keep to
- tickets are sold only through official services and venue box offices — we do not sell tickets directly and charge no commission;
- only confirmed cities and dates are published: there is no invented schedule on this site;
- the safety of performers and audiences is the responsibility of our own technical team, not the venue's;
- terms with partners are agreed individually: we have no standard packages or fixed price lists.
The legal entity is Popov & Co LLP.
Where we work

The company's programmes
There are two productions in the repertoire: “This Amazing Circus” — a grand show 0+, and “Charlie and the Sea Lions” — a family show 0+. The cities and dates of each live on its own page.

What our work consists of
Producing programmes
Directing, musical score, costumes and stage design made in-house.
Touring logistics
Transporting equipment and the troupe, rigging, and work with venues in four countries.
Safety
Safety rigging for aerial acts, rehearsal protocols and requirements for working with animals.
Tickets and listings
Work with official ticketing services and venue box offices. The schedule is kept separately for each programme.
Working with artists
Selecting acts, contracts, visa support and accompanying companies along the route.
Working with venues
Agreeing the hall and the technical rider, preparing a block of performances instead of a single evening.
Partnership
Who we work with
Performers and circus companies
We consider individual acts and complete show teams in every genre of big circus. What to attach to an application and how selection works is described on the “Cooperation”.
Venues and promoters
State circuses, culture palaces and large arenas: we arrive with a block of performances and bring our equipment with us. From the venue we need the hall, technical conditions and readiness for a long run rather than a single evening.
Ticketing services, media and sponsors
Ticket sales are handled by official services and venue box offices. With media and sponsors we work around a specific touring block: presence on the poster, at the venue and in the programme materials.
Geography
The countries we work in
Each country has its own page: how the direction works, which venues we work with and how to host a programme.
